Katie + Nick’s Wedding at Knox Farms Mansion in East Aurora, NY
We have been really excited about the 2021 season that is filled with wonderful couples and locations that I have been DYING to shoot at. Shooting a wedding at Knox farms Mansion is high on the list wish list on venues in Buffalo! Needless to say, I was thrilled when I got the phone call from their amazing wedding planner Gianna (Weddings by Gianna) That Katie and Nick had decided to change their original venue to the beautiful Knox Farms Mansion in East Aurora. I am gonna tell you right now I had the HARDEST time trimming down their images so that they didn’t have a 10 minute slideshow at the end!
Their Story
Katie and Nick met at a Mexican bar through Nick’s brother who shared mutual friends with Katie. They chatted throughout the night and quickly discovered that they shared a love for eating crab legs, which then turned into inspiration for their first date!
It wasn’t very long before they realized that they both had grown up their entire lives only 1.5 miles away from each other, but due to the slight age difference between them, their paths had never crossed.
After casually dating for a while they decided to take a last-minute vacation to Marco Island, Florida. On their trip, they made amazing memories together and they realized that they wanted to commit to each other as a couple. A year later they decided to rescue a pup and Named him Marco, after their time together on Marco Island.
Nick proposed to Katie by throwing her a surprise birthday party. Katie walked into a room filled with her closest friends and family only to be doubly surprised when she turned around and saw Nick down on one Knee. Katie calls it “The best birthday gift I have ever received!”
Despite the intense threat of rain throughout the week, we were SO fortunate that the weather held out for the day and that they could have their beautiful outdoor ceremony at Knox Farms.
